New for 2005 - BEST Racing now uses DAG chip timing.

The DAG system is a second generation computer chip timing system
and promises to deliver reliable and accurate timing results.
Some of the features of this new rfid timing chip
- the chips are disposable, in other words there is no need to collect them
after the race or require the runner to pay any collection fee
- the chip attaches to the back of the runner number, so there is no need to
attach anything to the ankle or wrist. - because the chip is attached to the
runner number, distribution is easier
- there are no mats at the finish line, just a gate that you run through
Its first use in a New Jersey race was by BEST Racing Systems at the 1st Day 5K
race in Fair Lawn, Jan 1, 2005. If you have additional question about the DAG
please Bill at BEST via email to bill@bestrace.com
BEST Racing Systems company is a New Jersey based company that provides complete computerized scoring, race timing and finish line management for small to large road races.
They use the latest technologies (Intel Based Laptops / Laser Printers),
customize software (developed by BEST themselves), advanced Laser Bar Code
Readers and Electronic Timing Devices (to electronically record runner
place and time) to provide quick and accurate race scoring. After the runners
cross the finish line; finish time, pace per mile, overall and age group
place is quickly available for each runner. Also, BEST's Awards Report
makes it extremely easy for the Race Directors to out hand awards quickly
and accurately (no more spending what seems like hours trying to figure
out who gets what). Just as easily, race results can be provided to local
newspapers via the web, email, disk or by FAX.
BEST has done every type of road race from 1 Mile Fun Runs, 5K to Marathons,
from Biathlons to Triathlons for over 22 years, and has a large variety
of services to choose from to best suite you race needs.
